Yorkiepoos are a relatively new breed that are currently under development. Yorkie poos are what one would call a cross-breed or a mixed breed and comes from a fusion between Yorkshire Terriers and Poodles, making for a small dog that usually weigh in at 4 to 10 pounds. Because of the small stature of this dog, it may be wise to invest in a bell or other similar devices to better keep track of your potential Yorkiepoo’s movements. 

Coat 

The coat of a Yorkiepoo is usually soft and silky, and can either be curly or straight. As like a few other hybrid dogs with roots from Poodles, Yorkiepoos usually shed little, if any. This is good news for people in charge of cleaning dog hairs from furniture and people prone to allergies. 

Temperament 

Yorkiepoos tends to be very friendly and playful, making them great companions for children. Additionally, because of the small size of Yorkiepoos even in adulthood, children who prefers cute looking puppies can be pacified for longer periods of time. In addition, Yorkiepoos loves to cuddle with their owners, making them ideal lap dogs. 

Despite its small size, Yorkiepoos are relatively brave, and can seem as if they believe they are big dogs. Yorkiepoos needs a fair amount of care and attention, and can feel sad if left alone for too long. Due to its bravery and intelligence, Yorkiepoos can make for great watchdogs. 

Although Yorkiepoos are blessed with high amount of intellect, they may sometimes get somewhat stubborn. Despite that, Yorkiepoos can be easily corrected and trained to do much if rewarded. Yorkiepoos are not afraid to let their owners know what they want, thus they may sometimes get a little mischievous to get your attention. 

Yorkiepoos, although are not designed for strenuous exercise, are still a pretty active and curious breed. Yorkiepoos makes for great apartment pets, where they can have plenty of exercise through games both indoors and outdoors. Regular walks, though is a necessity as both a way to tickle its curiosity to the outside world and as another form of exercise. 

Health

Yorkiepoos generally benefits from the inter-species breeding when it comes to the health department. Some of the common health problems that may hit Yorkiepoos includes vision problems, ear infections (if their ears are floppy-eared type like their Poodle ancestors) and Luxating Patella. Other than that, Yorkiepoos can usually expect a healthy lifespan of around 14 to 18 years. 

As such, Yorkiepoos makes for great household pets. Given the Yorkiepoo’s energy level, overall cuteness and intellect, Yorkiepoos can liven up any household and provides great companionship for most individuals.

 It is not easy to detemine what your yorkiepoo would look like when it grows up, whether more poodle, or more yorkshire terrier. But one good way to predict is to look at their parents.
